Diagnosis. In facies, C. rufobrunnea is similar to C. miniaula , but the former is readily distinguished by the rust colouration of its forewing markings. The female genitalia of C. rufobrunnea resemble those of C. zoquiapana , but those of C. rufobrunnea have very short processes from the base of the postostial sterigma and only one signum (two in C. zoquiapana ).

Description. Wing span 17 mm. Male: Unknown. Female: Head rust cream, thorax rust brown. Forewing slender; termen weakly oblique, almost straight. Ground colour cream, suffused and strigulated brownish, most conspicuous before and beyond costal half of median fascia; costal strigulae cream; divisions brownish; tornal area of wing ferruginous cream, ocellus reduced. Markings rust brown reduced to postbasal and median fasciae, dorsally suffused with rust brown. Cilia pale rust, concolorous with terminal area of wing. Hindwing greyish cream, darker on peripheries; cilia cream. Genitalia ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 20 – 26 ) with papillae anales fairly large; postostial sterigma short, slightly convex; antrum moderately long; proximal part of cingulum short, fused with long, posterior, incomplete part; one small signum present.
