HOLOTYPE: AMNH 214063 View Materials , adult female, collected on Mota Lava (5 Valua Island),

13.40S, 167.40E ( USBGN, 1974), Banks Islands, Vanuatu (5 New Hebrides), on 17 September 1926, by Rollo H. Beck on the Whitney South Sea Expedition (no. 22738).

COMMENTS: Murphy and Mathews gave the AMNH number of the holotype in the original description ; they had eight specimens collected in September 1926. The seven paratypes are: AMNH 214057–214062 View Materials , 214067 View Materials , two males, two females, and three sex ?.
