Tribe Ectrichodiini View in CoL
Ectrichodiinae View in CoL in the New World includes 24 genera and more than 100 described species (Gil-Santana et al. 2015, 2020; Gil-Santana 2014, 2015, 2019, 2020; Forthman and Gil-Santana 2021; Gil-Santana and Oliveira 2022). Forthman and Weirauch (2017) synonymized Tribelocephalinae View in CoL with Ectrichodiinae View in CoL , describing three new tribes, Ectrichodiini View in CoL , Tribelocodiini View in CoL and Abelocephalini View in CoL , resulting in a new composition of Ectrichodiinae View in CoL (sensu novum) in the New World. Ectrichodiini View in CoL now includes all the genera formerly belonging to Ectrichodiinae View in CoL , except Ectrichodiella Fracker & Bruner, 1924 View in CoL , which was transferred to Tribelocodiini View in CoL . An updated key to the New World genera of Ectrichodiinae View in CoL was presented by Forthman and Gil-Santana (2021).
