Record as epibiont on ostracods: It was found as an ectocommensal on Heterocypris similis (Wierzejski, 1893) (cited as Cyprinotus similis ), on lateral and marginal surface of carapace, from San Miguel del Monte lagoon, Buenos Aires, Argentina ( Claps & Sampóns 1994).

It was reported on Cyclocypris ovum (Jurine, 1820) and on Cypria ophthalmica from Jurassic springs near Hersbruck, Northern Bavaria, Germany as Lagenophrys wallengreni Abonyi, 1928 ( Lust 1950) .

It was found on exoskeleton of Cypridopsis vidua (Müller, 1776) (reported as Lagenophrys labiata Wallengren, 1900 ) found in Basel, Switzerland ( Keiser 1921; Morado & Small 1995).

It was found as epibionts on Cypris sp., Candona elliptica Furtos,1933 and Candona sp. (external surface carapace) in Canada, Ontario, 3.2 km WSW Crystal Beach, Point Abino, swamp at jct. Pt. Abino Rd./Erie Rd. ( Clamp 1984, 1990; Mayén-Estrada & Clamp 2016).

This species was recorded as epibiont on the carapace of Cypris sp. in China, Jiangsu (Kiangsu) and Najing (Nanking) ( Clamp 1984, 1990; Mayén-Estrada & Clamp 2016).

It was also found on small, greenish ostracods in Sweden, Malmöhus, near Landskrona, a small pond at the base of the Ronnebergagard ( Clamp 1984, 1990; Mayén-Estrada & Clamp 2016).

Stiller (1971) reported this species as epibiont on Cypria ophtalmica from Hungary.

It was also reported on Cyclocypris ovum (Jurine, 1820) , Cypridopsis vidua (O. F. Müller) , Candona neglecta G. O. Sars, 1887 , Cypria ophtalmica (Jurine, 1820) (carapace), in Switzerland, Solothurn, Seewen lake; near Basel, Schusterinsel. French portion of Switzerland, near Behringersmuhl, Stempfermuhl spring ( Clamp 1984, 1990; Mayén-Estrada & Clamp 2016).

This species was reported on the external surface carapace of Ankylocythere hobbsi (Hoff, 1944) , A. ancyla Crawford, 1965 , Candona neglecta G. O. Sars, 1887 , Chlamydotheca arcuata (G. O. Sars, 1901) , Cyclocypris ovum (Jurine, 1820) , C. sharpie Furtos, 1933 , Cypria obese Sharpe, 1897 , C. ophtalmica (Jurine, 1820) , Cypridopsis vidua (Müller, 1776) , Dactylocythere daphniodes (Hobbs, 1955) , D. jeanae Hobbs, 1967 , Donnaldsoncythere donnaldsonensis (Kie, 1931) , Thermastrocythere riojai (Hoff, 1943) from USA: Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, New York, North Carolina, Topsail Island, Columbia, Oregon, Virginia—in pond, river, lake and ditches ( Clamp 1984, 1990; Mayén-Estrada & Clamp 2016).
