Record as epibiont on ostracods: It was first reported as epibiont on the ostracod Candona sp. from USA (Stokes 1886). This species was also reported on exoskeleton of unidentified ostracods ( Matthes 1950; Morado & Small 1995); epibiont on Cypris sp. from Argentina ( Küppers & Claps 2016); on Cypris sp. from Hungary ( Stiller 1941, 1971), and on Cypris sp. and Candona sp. from Germany ( Kahl 1935).

Record as epibiont on other hosts: This species was reported as epibiont on cladocerans (see Chatterjee et al. 2013): Daphnia sp., Bosmina sp. and Chydorus sphaericus (Müller, 1776)— Germany ( Kahl 1935, Matthes 1950); Daphnia magna Straus, 1820 , D. atkinsoni Baird, 1859 from Bedford College, England, UK ( Green 1974); Daphnia pulex (Linnaeus, 1758) and Chydorus sphaericus —Foulden Common, Norfolk, England, UK ( Green 1974); Daphnia magna , D. longispina (Müller, 1776) and Chydorus sphaericus —Tvarminne archipelago, Finland ( Green 1957); Scapholeberis mucronata (Müller, 1776)—Lago di Ghirla, Italy ( Green 1974). On amphipods Gammarus fossarum Koch, 1836 (cited as Gammarus pulex fossarum ) and Gammarus pulex (Linnaeus, 1758) (cited as Gammarus pulex pulex ) in Poland ( Mayén-Estrada & Utz 2018).
