A relatively recently described species, only known with certainty from the type series from East of Marion Island, north of Kerguelen Island and the Crozet Islands; pelagic, 660–930 m ( Hayashi 2006). Basher et al. (2014) recorded Pasiphaea cf ledoyeri from 1587 m inside the Antarctic AOI, but without details.
