Larval form of unknown adult affinity, recorded from 2500 m near Marion Island ( Spence Bate 1888). Caricyphus spp. are considered to be larvae of Oplophoridae sensu lato (incl. Acanthephyridae ), likely the genus Acanthephyra ( Fernandes et al. 2007) .
