Distribution ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 ). A West Maghrebin species occurring in the Rif ( Errochdi & El Alami 2008, Errochdi et al. 2014), Middle Atlas ( Dakki 1987, Vinçon et al. 2014), High Atlas ( Aubert 1956, Meinander 1967, Miron 1972, Pihan & Mohati 1983, Bouzidi & Giudicelli 1994) and also in Tlemcen and Tafna mountains in western and Central Algeria ( Gagneur & Aliane 1991).

Ecology. Larvae occur in various mountains brooks and springs between 85 and 2900 m a.s.l. The larvae are detritivores. The adult flight period is summer and autumn (XI–VIII), but mainly in the cooler season.
