Minilimosina (Milimosina) quadrispinosa Su, 2011 View in CoL

( Figs. 27–32 View FIGURES 27 – 32 )

Minilimosina (Minilimosina) quadrispinosa Su, 2011: 72 View in CoL [male, description, illustr.]. Type locality: China, Liaoning, Mt. Qianshan, HT male (LKLSU).

Diagnosis. General colour dark brown to brownish black, including head, antennae, thorax, legs and abdomen; arista brown. Greatest eye height 2.3 times as long as genal height. Mid tibia: proximal anterodorsal seta subequal to distal anterodorsal and to distal posterodorsal, with a row of anteroventral spine-like setae on distal half, ventroapical seta subequal to width of mid tibia. Mid femur with a row of posteroventral setae on basal fourth. Dorsocentral seta equal to or slightly shorter than scutellum length. Apical scutellar seta 1.9 times as long as scutellum length. Wing and veins pale brown, C dark brown. Cs2 slightly longer than Cs3; apical half of R4+5 more gently curved to C. Haltere with white stem and brown knob. Posteromedial comb of male sternite 5 ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 27 – 32 ) formed by 3 short rows of short flat setae, the posterior row more or less posteriorly straight. Gonostylus ( Figs. 27, 29, 30 View FIGURES 27 – 32 ) with 4 thick spines.

Type material. ( LKLSU, in glycerine): Holotype, male: China, Liaoning, Mt. Qianshan, sweep, 600 m, 22.Jun.2007, Lixin Su.

Comments. In the key ( Marshall, 1985), the species runs to M. parva (Malloch, 1913) which, however, differs from the latter in Cs2 slightly longer than Cs3, posteromedial comb of male sternite 5 comprising 3 rows of short setae, gonostylus with 4 spines and short setulae on ventral margin. Based on synapomorphy proposed by Marshall (1985): comb row of male sternite 5 made up of large, flat setae overlapping dark lamellae, M. quadrispinosa with M. tuberculum Marshall , M. parva (Malloch) and M. parvula (Stenhammar) could form a clade, however, their relationships are not clear.

Distribution. Palaearctic: China (Liaoning).
