Leptocera (Limosina) v-atrum Villeneuve, 1917: 142 View in CoL [both sexes]. Type locality: Germany, Berlin, Strausberg. LT male, designated by Roháček, 2001: 472 (MNHN).

Limosina (Scotophilella) splendens Duda, 1928: 167 View in CoL [female]. Type locality: Poland, Wustung bei Habelschwerdt [= Bystrzyca Kłodska]. LT female, designated by Roháček, 1983: 33 (ZMHB).

Minilimosina (Svarciella) splendens .— Roháček, 1982: 278 –280 [illustr.]; Roháček, 1983: 33 –34 [generic combination, redescription, phylogenetic notes]; Roháček & Marshall, 1988: 244 [key].

Diagnosis. Body colour shining black. Eye 2.7 times as high as gena. Two pairs of dorsocentral setae. Antennae dark brown. Apical scutellar seta 1.3 times as long as scutellum length. Cs2 0.7 times as long as Cs3. Trochanters yellow, tarsi dark brown. Tergites 1–5 shining black. Sternite 5 of male ( Figs. 101, 102 View FIGURES 101 – 102 ) with deflexed apically bifurcate posteromedial process and row of small spines in front of it.

Materal examined. (LKLSU, in alcohol): 2 males: China, Jiangxi, County Anfu, Shizhikou, Malaise trap, 160–180 m, 20.Apr.2011, Tao Li; 1 male: China, Jiangxi, County Anfu, Shizhikou, Malaise trap, 200–210 m, 13.Apr.2011, Tao Li; 3 males: China, Jiangxi, County Anfu, Shizhikou, Malaise trap, 200–210 m, 2.May.2011, Tao Li; 1 male, 1 female: China, Jiangxi, County Anfu, Baishakeng, Malaise trap, 120–140 m, 16.May.2011, Tao Li.

Comments. The species (formerly reported under its synonymous name M. splendens , while the name M. vatrum auct. was applied to species correctly named M. guestphalica , see Roháček 2001) is recorded in the Oriental Region for the first time, previously only distributed in the Palaearctic Region.
