Pirnonota convexicolis Stål, 1859

Pirnonota is a monotypic genus. Champion (1899) pointed out the variation of the color pattern of this species and the sexual dimorphism. P. convexicollis is known from Brazil and Panama ( Maldonado 1990). This is a new generic record from Colombia.

Material examined: COLOMBIA, 1ɗ, Valle [del Cauca], 3000’ Rio Jamundi, 10mi. S. Cali, 19­VII­1970, H. & A. Howden [ CNC].
