( Figs. 13F View FIGURE 13 , 44 View FIGURE 44 )
Type material. Holotype, male ( HNHM): “ CAMBODIA, Mondolkiri / Pr., Seima Biodiv. Cons. / Area, road between / Seima and O'Rang." [printed label]; " 360 m, at light, / 12°15'44N, 107°03'49E / 27. I. 2006, G. Csorba, L. Duval & G. Ronkay " [printed label].
Diagnosis. Antennae similar like in E. serricornis , but body is smaller, more oval, and shorter.
Description. Holotype, male. Body oval, TL/EW 1.32, slightly flattened, covered with dark brown setae. Head and pronotum brownish-black, scutellum and elytra slightly lighter, dark brown. Antennomeres 1–3 yellowish-brown, mouthparts and legs (with the exception of metafemora) light brown. Antennomeres 4–11 black. Ventral portion dark brown.
Head with distinct punctation, punctures separated by ca. 1.0 diameter. Eyes big, protuberant; head 1.7 X wider than interocular space. Antennae serrate. Antennomere 1 cylindrical, with a subtle ridge on anterior margin, 2 globular, 3 strongly reduced, minute, 2 X shorter than antennomere 2, antennomeres 4–10 dilated, triangular, as long as antennomeres 2–3 combined, apical antennomere oblong oval. Palpomeres of maxillary palpi only slightly widened.
Pronotum slightly convex, covered with distinct punctation, a bit stronger than on head, separated by ca. 1.0–1.5 diameter, anterolateral corners obtuse, slightly projecting anteriorly; lateral margins slightly rounded; posterolateral corners acute; base of pronotum bisinuate, with subtle, complete margination along basal margin; PW/PL 2.9. Scutellum subtly punctured, equilaterally triangular. Angle between pronotum and elytra not marked in dorsal outline.
Elytra oval, without longitudinal ridges, lateral margins explanate, widest slightly before the middle, punctation stronger than on pronotum, punctures separated by ca. 0.5–1.0 diameter; humeri well marked; EL/ EW 1.1; EL/PL 4.3; EW/PW 1.3.
Legs moderately long. Hind tibial spurs well developed, dorsal one slightly curved, unmodified, as long as tarsomere 1, and over twice as longe as ventral one; ventral spur slightly curved.
Ventrite 1 with sparse setation in mesal portion, longitudinal ridge very short, present in basal portion of ventrite 1, ventrite 2 with basal row of big punctures. Apex of tergite 7 unmodified. Apex of ventrite 5 bisinuate.
Sternite 9 (L 0.27, W 0.23) short, consisting of two subtriangular hemisternites, with indistinct setae on apical margin. Tergite 8 (L 0.39, W 0.29) well sclerotized, apical portion subtrapezoidal, apical margin arcuate, bearing distinct setae on apical margin, apodemes short, slightly diverging basally; tergite 9 (L 0.32, W 0.30) small, moderately sclerotized, with narrow apical portion and indistinct setae at apex, with a pair of strongly diverging apodemes, fused in anterior portion. Tegmen (L 0.44, W 0.35) large, well sclerotized, parameres straight with hooked apical portions, relatively wide, apices pointed, mesal process narrow, long, slightly shorter than parameres. Penis (L 0.48, W 0.08) relatively large, pala pear-shaped, parameroids short, mesal process very long and thin.
Female unknown.
Measurements. Male (n = 1): TL 2.50, PL 0.50, PW 1.40, EL 2.15, EW 1.95.
Distribution. Known only from the locus typicus in Cambodia.
Etymology. After Cambodia, the terra typica of the species.
