Range: —Endemic to Bolivia (CO).

Ecology: —Local and uncommon; saxicolous in humid Polylepis forest areas, together with Asplenium castaneum Schltdl. & Cham. , Melpomene moniliformis (Lag. ex Sw.) A.R.Sm. & R.C.Moran , Polystichum nudicaule Rosenst. , and Woodsia montevidensis (Spreng.) Hieron. ; 3750–3950 m.
