Range: — Ecuador; Bolivia (LP, SC); to be expected in Peru.

Ecology: —Locally fairly common; saxicolous, rarely terrestrial, on rock faces and steep banks in humid forests; 2400–3150 m.

Notes: —May be confused with Elaphoglossum squarrosum for having long-creeping rhizomes, but differs from that species by having subulate (vs. flat) scales on the abaxial blade surfaces.
