Range: — Jamaica, southern Mexico to northwestern Argentina, southeastern Brazil. In Bolivia, known from BE, CH, CO, LP, SC, and TA.

Ecology: —Common; terrestrial in humid and semihumid forests, often on steep slopes, stream banks, or rarely along roadsides, 600–2800 m.

Notes: — This widely distributed species is polymorphic and may represent a species complex. McHenry & Barrington (2014) included four specimens in their analysis, one from Bolivia .
