Range: — Colombia and Venezuela to Bolivia (LP), Paraguay.
Ecology: —Rare; terrestrial in humid forests; 1300–2100 m.
Notes: —Differs from M. subincisum by dense, relatively uniform hairs 0.05–0.2 mm long, abaxially on costae, costules, and usually rachises.
