Type locality. South Africa, Western Cape Province, Cape Town, Rondebosch .
Material examined. SOUTH AFRICA: Western Cape: 3 ♂, 3 ♀: Table Mts. NP , Cape Peninsula, Olifantsbos , 34°15.3’S, 18°23.1’E, 11.x.2013, J. Janák lgt. ( TMSA, JJRC) GoogleMaps .
Distribution. The species is hitherto recorded only from Cape Peninsula (Western Cape province).
Remark. The new record is the first record after at least 80 years, the specimens were collected by treading in wetland in low fynbos in October 2013 ( Fig. 71 View FIGURES 67–72 ). Eight years latter (October 2021) the record was not repeated, but three different Stenus species were collected in this locality ( S. hessei , S. capicola , S. cf. grandipennis ).
