Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 3‒8 ). Wingspan 10.0– 11.5 mm. Ressia auriculata is diagnosed by the subtriangular pleural lobes of the male eighth segment with a bunch of short apical thorns, the auriculate cucullus in the male genitalia ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 9‒14 ), and the symmetrical sterigma with a sclerotized horn-shaped ventral sac in the female genitalia ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 15‒19 ).
