Xyleborus amanicus Hagedorn, 1910: 11 View in CoL .
Xyleborus jongaensis Schedl, 1941: 404 View in CoL . syn. nov.
Remarks. An image of a nontype X. amanicus specimen in Schedl’s collection (NHMW) and an image of the X. jongaensis lectotype (NHMW) were examined and found to be conspecific. The species is transferred to Cyclorhipidion Hagedorn, 1912 based on the following combination of characters: most of body covered with dense pubescence and very abundant minute punctures; pronotum and elytra rounded, with no conspicuous edges or carinae; visible scutellum, contiguous procoxae and lack of mycangial tufts.
Distribution. Throughout central Africa from Ghana and Nigeria to Kenya and Tanzania.
