Remarks. The holotype of X. spicatus (NHMUK) and two paratypes (NUFM) were compared to images of other type specimens representing the current synonyms of the morphologically variable S. dimidiatus ( Smith et al. 2020a) . The holotype of X. spicatus is morphologically congruent with that of X. dorsosulcatus which exhibits strongly impressed striae on both the disc and declivity.
Distribution. From Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia through Indonesia to New Guinea, Philippines.
