1. Antenna moderate in length, 0.9–1.1 mm, AL:HW ratio 1.6–2.0; fore wing with indistinct greyish-brown markings at wing margin in cells r2, m1, m2 and cu1, in central portion of cells m2 and cu2, and parallel to but slightly apical to length of vein Cu1b ( Figs 5–6 ); female terminalia elongate, acutely pointed without distinct apical upward inflection ( Fig. 11 ); male paramere with inner hook ( Fig. 10 ); host Solanum lasiophyllum in inland semi-arid Western Australia........... - Antenna moderate to long, 1.0– 1.5 mm, AL:HW ratio 1.9–3.0; fore wing clear, without markings; female terminalia elongate, acutely pointed with distinct apical upward inflection; male paramere with inner hook or inner lateral ridge; hosts on various other Solanaceae in eastern Australia and New Zealand...................................................... 2

2. Antenna moderate in length, 1.0– 1.2 mm, AL:HW ratio 1.9–2.5; antennal segments 2–3 pale yellow-brown, segments 4–5 yellow-brown grading to dark brown, segments 6–10 dark brown grading to black; male paramere with transversely angled inner ridge mid-length; host Solanum mauritianum and other Solanaceae in subcoastal central New South Wales and inland southern South Australia, introduced into New Zealand...............................................
