( Figs. 2–3 View FIGURES 1–10. 1 )
Material examined. PANAMA (new country record), Bocas del Toro: Fortuna Cabins, 8.7814ºN / 82.1909ºW, 1 male, 28.IV–7.V.2019, E.G. Riley col. ( DHCO).
This species was described based on a single male from Guatemala (Alta Verapaz), deposited at SMFD. Monné & Hovore (2006) reported it from Honduras. The following variations were observed in the specimen examined: base of the elytra reddish (black in the holotype); pronotum slightly lighter (black in the holotype); antennomere IV about as long as scape (respectively with 1.12 mm and 1.50 mm in the holotype); yellowish bands on elytra fused along suture (not fused in the holotype); profemora yellowish brown except extreme brownish apex (peduncle yellowish brown and club dark brown in the holotype—the club was described as being reddish brown, but the photograph of the holotype shows it is dark brown); meso- and metafemora mostly yellowish brown, with irregular brownish macula on center of the sides of the posterior half (peduncle yellowish brown, dark brown on club—the club was described as being reddish brown, but the photograph of the holotype shows it is dark brown in on the meso- and metafemora).
