Type locality: “Turkestan, Chinad (bliz Tashkenta)” ( Sseliwanoff 1881b) and “Chinas [sic!] bl. Tashkenta” ( Sseliwanoff 1881a) [ Uzbekistan, Tashkent Region, Chinaz city, N40°56', E68°45'].

Distribution. Kazakhstan ( Bragina et al. 2020; Dyachkov 2020a), Uzbekistan ( Dyachkov & Nedoev 2021), Tajikistan ( Dyachkov 2020b), and Kyrgyzstan (Dyachkov 2022b); western Mongolia (Dyachkov 2021).
Remarks. Mesocanthus porosus was mentioned as nomen nudum in Sseliwanoff (1881a), described in Sseliwanoff (1881b, 1884).
