Eurypyga helias (PAllAs, 1781)

IDentificAtion. This species was seen on the ground in polyspecific forests along the Paraguay River. We identi- fied this species by the small head with a long, straight beak, and slender body with an unmistakable, complex colour ( Gwynne et al. 2010).
