Diagnostic characters. General color dark brown ( Pictet 1841); length of forewing 9.9–11.2 mm in males and 12.5–14.1 in females ( Froehlich 1990); male tergum 10 triangular, apex elliptical; male paraproct relatively broad throughout its length, apex rounded ( Zwick 1972); apex of male subgenital plate semicircular, epiproct with irregular denticles ( Zwick 1972); nymphs with dorsal spines on abdominal terga 1–9 ( Froehlich 1990).
