Fig. 1d.

Harold, 1879: 331; Vuillet, 1912: 19; Andrewes, 1927: 109; id, 1930: 105; Hackel & Farkac, 2012: 86

Material examined: Holotype, labelled: “ India or.”, Helfer , in ZMHB.

Description. Length: 14 mm

Body: Shiny, with a rather long but sparse yellowish-white hair

Head: Black, smooth, longitudinal crests and in front of the eyes with punctures, Antennae blackish brown. Labrum small, angles weakly rounded, smooth, anterior margin strongly emarginated. Clypeus smooth, straight margin. Labial and maxillary Apical palpomeres securiform. Strongly prominent globular eyes.

Pronotum: Strongly punctured, wider than head, blackish green, longer than broad, posteriorly narrower, dorsal and ventral side roughly punctured and covered by yellow coloured setae. Forming a fairly sharp angle in the middle on both sides. Rounded anterior corners. Lateral margin sinuate behind the middle. Posterior marginal line not straight.

Elytra: Dark metallic green coloured, punctured and striated, less pointed towards apex. Three times as long as pronotum. Striae with deep punctures, Intervals weakly convex and punctured, equal in width. Apex highly sinuated and weakly emarginated. Elytral suture line has a narrow gap at the apex and not closed. Projected humerus weakly sloping slightly rounded on the sides.

Scutellum: Triangular, punctured, metallic green coloured.

Legs: Black with ore coloured, pubescent.

Geographical Distribution: “Indes orientales”, Myanmar (Karen Hills, Yangon, Tanintharyi Region) , Cambodia.

Remarks: Harold 1878 labelled it as Holotype locality: “Indes orientales” which could be India, Bangladesh or Myanmar and hence included as Indian species. Later distribution of record of Andrewes 1930 from Myanmar (Karen Hills, Yangon, Tanintharyi Region) and Cambodia indicates it is more likely to be a south East Asian species confined to Myanmar and beyond.
