Onomaus elegans Poppius, 1915: 6 – 7 (as new species). Onomaus elegans: Carvalho & Gross 1979: 523 – 524 (redescription, DV); Schuh 1995: 682 (catalogue), 2002 – 2013 (online catalogue).

Diagnosis. Head yellowish, apex of clypeus and posterior margin of vertex darker, sometimes almost black. Eyes reddish to brown. Posterior margins of eyes situate near middle of head, space between this margin and pronotal collar slightly superior to eye width. Vertex medially sulcate. First antennal segment elongate, reddish brown, its base whitish. Pronotal margins and two elongate longitudinal sub-median stripes dark brown, collar, callosities, a pair of areas behind callosities and an elongate medial stripe yellowish. Clavus yellowish - brown. Corium translucent with brown stripes. Embolium margins slightly concave medially. Habitus in dorsal view Fig. 44 . Male genital structures Figs. 45–49 . Material examined. INDIA: ARUNACHAL PRADESH: 4♂, 2♀, 10km south Hunli , 1597 m, 28°19’05.1”N, 95°47’ 38.5”E., 12.xi.2014, ex: Strobilanthus sp., Yeshwanth H.M. leg. ( UASB).

Distribution. India (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh), Myanmar.

Remark: Differs essentially from O. tenuis Zheng in Zheng et al., 2005 by the yellowish head (versus black in O. tenuis ), the pronotal callosities not tuberculate and devoid of punctures on its anterior and posterior margin, the pattern of pronotal disk, scutellum and clavus etc.
