Type species: Maana colorata Soulier-Perkins, 1998 , by original designation.

Diagnosis. First hind tarsal segment bearing series of apical spines organised in a triangular area ( Figs 6 , 16 ), ocellar carinae present ( Figs 4 , 9–12 ), tegmina with at least 80% of surface coloured, costal margin distinct from costal vein ( Figs 1–2 , 17 ), labium short; not reaching hind trochanters ( Fig. 2 ), foramen of antenna touching compound eyes base ( Figs 4–5 , 9–12 ).
