Description
Dendroid colonial corallum with budding near the base of the corallite wall. The colony is fan-shaped as two new polyps may bud at the same corallum. Colony size ranges from 40 mm to 70 mm in length and width and 40–70 mm in height. Corallite is oval, with longer and shorter diameters up to, 14.8 mm and 11.7 mm, respectively; length ranges from 10–15 mm, width from 8–13 mm and height from 5–13 mm. Septa order is hexameral with a duplicate P. plan in five cycles. Ventral and lateral septa may express regular and irregular triplicate P. plans, respectively. Columella is well-developed and spongy. In a living columella, the corallite wall and basal expansion is yellow and the polyp is red.
Distribution
