Description
Dendroid colonies which bud near the calicular margin. The oldest and main branch is prominent, with side branches developed by budding. The budding branch is at, right angles to the original branch. A corallite sometimes bears two to four buds at the same time. Corallite thinner near base than calice margin. Calice circular to slightly oval,, 7.9–11.6 mm in longer diameter. Finely granulated, rectilinear ribs extend to the base of the colony. Rows of perforations present in intercostal furrows. Septa in four cycles. Ventral septa in five cycles. S 1 is entire, granulated, slightly exsert and larger than the others. S 2 slightly shorter and thinner than S 1. S 3 septa are very small and unite with those of S 4 to create a dentate edge. Columella well developed and trabecular.
