PHENOLOGY.— Flowering: July; fruiting: July.

DISTRIBUTION.— Mexico (Hgo., Qro., S.L.P., Tamps.).

HABITAT.— Tropical deciduous forest.

ELEVATION.— 200–420 meters.

NOTES.— Daniel and Acosta C. (2003) provided a description of this uncommon species, which is rare in Tamaulipas. The lemon yellow flowers ( Fig. 2F View FIGURE ) turn whitish with age .
