Sangaris luctuosa ( Pascoe, 1859) comb. nov.

Colobothea luctuosa Pascoe, 1859: 53 ; Monné, 2005: 345 (cat.).

Described from Brazil, Pará, and known from the states of Amazonas and Pará. We now extend the distribution to Rondônia and Mato Grosso.

The proposed transfer is based upon the presence of reduced lateral elytral carinae.

Geographical distribution. Brazil (Amazonas, Pará, Rondônia, Mato Grosso).

Specimens examined. BRAZIL. Amazonas: Manaus, female, 24.VII.1956 (C. Elias & O. Roppa leg.) (MNRJ); Tabatinga, female, X.1977 (B. Silva leg.) (MNRJ); same data, female, XII.1977 (MNRJ), female, VIII.1984 (MNRJ). Pará: Jacareacanga, male, III.1969 (M. Alvarenga leg.) (MNRJ). Rondônia: Ouro Preto do Oeste, female, 20.III.1985 (M. F.
