Diagnosis. FEMALE: Setae simple except for numerous scattered stoutish erect brachyplumose setae on most of dorsal surface; head subquadrate; genal carina present and extending on to vertex; scrobal carina present but simple; clypeus with distinct acute tooth on anterior margin lateral to antennal insertion; mandible slender and with a distinct obtuse tooth on inner margin near base; mesosoma violin-shaped, lateral margin of propodeum with conspicuous spines; apical tarsomeres simple; T1 short and broad, sessile to subsessile with T2; T7 without defined pygidial area. MALE: Setae simple except for a few erect slender brachyplumose setae posteriorly on head and basally on T2 at least; head subquadrate; genal carina absent; antennal scrobe not carinate; clypeus with marginal tubercle in front of antennal tubercle; hypostoma without conical or lamellate process; mandible distinctively broadened apically and tridentate, with small inner tooth near base, without tooth on ventral margin; notaulus absent; axilla of mesoscutum with an acute antero-lateral process; mesosternum simple; apical tarsomeres simple; T1 apically broadened, subsessile with T2; S2 without felt line; paramere in dorsal view slender, sinuate; penis valves symmetrical, with small apico-ventral tooth and no subapical ventral tooth.
