Subfamily Stichopogoninae

Limited information on the immatures of this subfamily has been published since 1972. The eggs are oviposited in the soil, but none has been described in detail. The eggs of Lasiopogon are oval and some species of Stichopogon are believed to not have aeropyles.

Lasiopogon larvae and pupae develop in the soil with the latter maturing in 17 days. Stichopogon larvae and pupae also are believed to develop in the soil. There are general descriptions of the pupae for the subfamily, and of the larvae and pupae for Lasiopogon .
