Calochromus harauensis sp. nov.

Type material. Holotype, male, Indonesia, Sumatra Barat, Harau valley, Payakumbuh, 1992, native coll. ( LMBC). Diagnosis. Calochromus harauensis sp. nov. differs from C. flabellatus in the short lamella of antennomere 3 ( Figs 7–8 View FIGURES 1 – 11 ).
Description. Male. Body small, 4.7 times as long as wide at humeri; head, antennae, thorax and legs black, abdomen black with metallic shine, elytra dark brown. Head hypognathous with short rostrum, frons convex, with sharp median groove, antennal sockets contiguous; eyes prominent, their frontal distance 3.2 times eye diameter. Antennae long, antennomere 3 with short lamella ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 11 ). Pronotum widest posteriorly, 1.6 times wider than length at midline, anterior and posterior angles rounded, posterior margin convex in middle. Elytra twice times longer than width at humeri, elytral costae weak ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 11 ). Male genitalia as in Fig. 12 View FIGURES 12 – 15 .
Measurements. BL 12 mm, WH 2.4 mm, PL 1.5 mm, PW 1.9 mm, Edist 0.65 mm, Ediam 0.55 mm.
Distribution. Indonesia, Western Sumatra.
Etymology. The specific name refers to the Harau valley in the Indonesian West Sumatra province, the type locality of this species.
