Ceradenia intricata (C.V.Morton) L.E.Bishop ex A.R.Sm., Novon View in CoL 3(2): 185. 1993.
= Grammitis intricata C.V.Morton, Contr. U.S. Natl. Herb. 38: 101, t. 3. 1967.
Range: — Colombia (Dept. Nariño, Leist & Möhle 2185, COL), Ecuador, and Bolivia (LP).
Ecology: —Rare, known from two Bolivian collections; terrestrial or epilithic; 4100 m.
Notes: —This is a very distinctive Ceradenia , having more-or-less indeterminate apices and suberect fronds. Bolivian specimens have narrower fronds than ones seen from Ecuador, but this is the only significant difference. In Ecuador, Lehnert 148 (UC) was reported growing with Melpomene gracilis , also a fairly rare species, from Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia. Additional collections, description, comments, and photograph of Colombian specimens were given by León-Parra (2012).
