Range: —Greater and Lesser Antilles; Mexico to Panama; Colombia and Venezuela to Bolivia (CO, LP); eastern Brazil.

Ecology: —Rare, known from three Bolivian collections; epiphytic in humid forests; 1900–2150 m.

Notes: —This may be confused with the distantly related Alansmia smithii , but Terpsichore asplenifolia has determinate blade growth, solitary (unpaired) setae on the segment margins, and long petioles.
