Range: — Nicaragua to Panama; Colombia to Guyana and Bolivia (CO), northern Brazil.
Ecology: —Rare, known from two Bolivian collections; epiphytic, in dense moss mats in humid forests; 2000– 2100 m.
Notes: —Pinnae shorter than in M. blepharidea .
