Range: — Bolivia (LP, SC); south-central Brazil.
Ecology: —Rare, known from three Bolivian collections; terrestrial in humid forests and along riverbanks; 1100– 1400 m.
Notes: —Differs from commoner P. camptophyllaria by its sparse, forked hairs with one setose and one clavate-glandular branch abaxially on the blade surfaces, forked paraphyses (vs. simple hairs and paraphyses), fully anastomosing veins just inside the pinna margins, except at pinna apices (vs. partly free veins), and longer petioles (1/4–2/5 vs. 1/8–2/5 of the leaf length).
