Range: —Amazon basin from southern Venezuela and the Guianas to Bolivia (BE, PA, SC) and Brazil.

Ecology: —Fairly common; epiphytic, climbing on and usually appressed to tree trunks; 100–700 m.

Notes: —The largest and thickest-textured species of Microgramma , and distinctive in having strongly flattened rhizomes.
