Range: — Colombia to Bolivia (LP) and western Brazil.
Ecology: —Rare, epiphytic, known from a single collection in Bolivia: Fuentes & Salas 14212 (LPB, MO, UC); 180–1900 m.
Notes: —This species is easily recognized by the presence of tubers on the rhizomes and its pinnately lobed sterile blades. The tubers are frequently associated with ants. Paraphyses are hairlike with uni- or pluricellular apices.
