Campyloneurum densifolium (Hieron.) Lellinger, Amer. Fern J. View in CoL 78(1): 19. 1988.
= Polypodium leuconeuron (Fée) Christ var. angustifolium Rosenst., Repert. View in CoL Spec. Nov. Regni Veg. 11: 58. 1912.
Range: —A mostly Andean species, known from Costa Rica to Bolivia ( CH, CO, LP, SC).
Ecology: —Common epiphyte or in rock crevices; 2500–4000 m.
Notes: —This mostly Andean species belongs to the C. amphostenon complex, along with C. amphostenon and C. lorentzii . Campyloneurum densifolium has persistent, light brown, adpressed, overlapping, ovate rhizome scales over mostly non-pruinose rhizomes. Mickel & Smith (2004) excluded Mexico from the range, which has sometimes been considered to be much broader (e.g., by León 1992).
