Campyloneurum aphanophlebium (Kunze) T.Moore, Index Fil. View in CoL 223. 1861.
= Polypodium aphanophlebium Kunze, Bot. Zeit. (Berlin) 288. 1845.
= Campyloneurum occultum (Christ) L.D.Gómez, Brenesia View in CoL 8: 46. 1976.
Range: — Belize to Panama; Colombia to Venezuela and Bolivia (CO, LP), Brazil.
Ecology: —Uncommon epiphyte, in humid forests; 250–850 m.
Notes: — This species is readily recognized by having furcate hairs on both surfaces of the lamina, especially near blade bases. The blades are noticeably oblanceolate, 10–55 cm long, and opaque when dried. This and C. anetioides (Christ) R.M.Tryon & A.F.Tryon , from Central America, might be closely allied. However, they differ in lamina size and shape (oblanceolate vs. spathulate; 10–55 cm vs. 3–10 cm), phyllopodia development (defined vs. incomplete), and indument type (a basal single-cell branch vs. multicellular single or double branch) .
