= Polypodium repens (Aubl.) Sw. var. abruptum Lindm., Ark. Bot. View in CoL 1: 245. 1903.
Range: — Colombia and Venezuela to Bolivia (BE, CO, LP, PA, SC) and Brazil.
Ecology: —Moderately common, mostly terrestrial, in understory of humid forests, along ravines; to 100–1400 m.
Notes: —This species belongs to the Campyloneurum phyllitidis complex and is easily recognized from others in the complex by the abruptly attenuate blade bases and usually undivided primary areoles. It can be distinguished from C. nitidissimum var. latius by its clathrate rhizome scales with clear cell lumina (vs. occluded).
