Range: —Antilles; southern Mexico to Bolivia (BE, CO, LP, SC, PA), Paraguay, and Brazil.
Ecology: —Common; terrestrial, saxicolous, and epiphytic, in humid forests; 250–2000 m.
Notes: —The most widespread species in the genus, with proximal pinnae barely adnate, distal pinnae broadly adnate, and a conform apical pinna; axes abaxially glabrous. Sori are usually in two or three series between costae and pinna margins.
