Range: —Endemic to Bolivia (LP).
Ecology: —Rare, known from three Bolivian collections; epiphytic in disturbed timberline forests dominated by Weinmannia ; 3400–3600 m.
Notes: —Possibly most closely related to S. eleutherophlebium (Fée) A.R.Sm. , from Costa Rica to Ecuador and western Venezuela.
