Pleopeltis stolzei A.R.Sm., Candollea View in CoL 60(1): 282. 2005.
= Pleopeltis macrocarpa (Bory ex Willd.) Kaulf. var. laciniata Stolze, Fieldiana, Bot. , n.s., 32: 143, f. 8c, d. 1993.
Range: — Ecuador to Bolivia (BE, CO, LP) and adjacent Brazil.
Ecology: —Uncommon; epiphytic in humid forests; 300–800 m.
Notes: Differs from P. macrocarpa by circular, rarely short-lanceolate, short-ciliate, blade scales to 0.3 mm in diameter, cuneate blade bases, occurrence in humid lowland and foothill forests. It appears to have shorter-creeping rhizomes than other entire-leaved Pleopeltis species in Bolivia.
