( Figs. 22–28 View FIGURES 22 – 26 View FIGURES 27 – 28 )

Diagnosis. Rostrum nearly as long as body. Mesonotum and pleuron brownish black. Wing with brown spot on stigma; basal section of CuA1 at 1/3 of cell dm, cell a2 relatively broad. Abdomen brownish yellow with terminal three segments brownish black.

Description. Male. Body length 6.5 mm, wing length 8.0 mm, rostrum length 6.0 mm.

Head (fig. 23). Brownish black. Hairs on head brownish black. Antenna length 1.0 mm. Scape pale brown; pedicel and flagellomeres brownish yellow. Flagellomeres except first flagellomere nearly equal in length; first flagellomere elongate and enlarged, nearly 1.5 times as long as second flagellomere. Rostrum brown with brown hairs.

Thorax. Generally brownish black. Pronotum and mesonotum brownish black. Scutum brownish black with middle area slightly paler, each lobe with a slightly paler spot. Scutellum dark brown with edge darker. Mediotergite brown with a narrow median darker stripe (fig. 24). Pleuron (fig. 22) brownish black with surface shiny. Hairs on thorax white. Wing (fig. 25) pale brown, brown spot on stigma; veins pale brown. Abdomen (fig. 22). Tergites and sternites brownish yellow. Terminal three segments brownish black. Hairs on abdomen white.

Hypopygium (figs. 26–28). Generally brownish black. Posterior margin of tergite nine with broad and shallow U-shaped notch. Gonocoxite conical with a light spot on dorsal face. Clasper of gonostylus slender and slightly curved, tip bidentate. Lobe of gonostylus stout and curved, tip slender and blunt. Interbase conical and curved to aedeagus, inside of basal half with a hemispherical lobe, tip acute. Aedeagus very long, slender and curly, base stout.

Female. Unknown.

Type material. Holotype male ( CAU), China: Sichuan, Mianyang, Laohegou (32°20'48"N 104°40'59"E, 770 m), 2012. V. 22, Yang Li (light trap).

Distribution. China (Sichuan).

Etymology. The species is named after the type locality Laohegou.

Remarks. This new species is somewhat similar to E. carbo carbo in having the similar male hypopygium, but it can be separated from the latter by the wing only with one brown spot on stigma (fig. 25), and the abdomen being generally brownish yellow (fig. 22). In E. carbo carbo , the wing has not only a brown spot on stigma but also broad bands along CuA, cord, m-m and basal section of M3 (fig. 4), and the abdomen is uniformly black (fig. 2).
