Doll (1978: 641):—Listed from Bulgaria without locality specification.
Herbarium voucher specimen:— There is a single herbarium sheet under that name, with nine plants, all with regular pollen. – Flora von Bulgarien, Rila-Gebirge , Malowitza-Hütte, 2400 m + Malowitza-Gipfel, ca. 2700 m. 16 Jul [19]76, R. Doll [as Taraxacum saasense ] ( JE, no. det. 19044) .
Interpretation:—The plants reported to belong to T. saasense represent T. bulgaricum . Taraxacum saasense therefore is not known to occur in Bulgaria.
