gen. nov.

Lukotekia gen. n.

Type species. Lukotekia menae sp. n.

Diagnosis. Head with anterior margin of vertex not protruding before compound eyes; anterior margin of vertex widely arcuate. Compound eyes not bulging, but rather aligned with anterior margin of vertex. Antennae 8- segmented. Fore wing with vein Rs reaching margin, curving in its apical portion to anterior margin. Hind wings with long spinules at basal ½ of its length.

Remarks. This genus can be distinguished from Isaraselis by the presence of long spinules at basal ½ of hind wing (up to half of hind wing in Isaraselis ); it differs from Clodionus by the anterior margin of vertex widely arcuate (straight in Clodionus ) and compound eyes not bulking. Lukotekia differs from the recent Aleurodicus by the terminal R1 shorter than half of terminal Rs, but this situation is similar also in Clodionus and Isaraselis .

Etymology. Generic name is derived from Lukotekia—the ancient name of Paris oppidium. Gender: feminine.
